This is a genuine Riccar vacuum hose designed to fit Riccar's full size canister model 1700, or 1700P.  The hose does include the variable speed suction controls on the handle of the hose to increase and decrease the suction power, but does not include controls for the electric power nozzle.

In order to determine if this is the correct hose for you, remove the end of the hose that plugs into the canister, and count how many electrical prongs go into the vacuum.  If you have 2 prongs, this is your hose.

If your hose has 3 prongs, you'll want to go for the premium version of this hose. 

Fits Riccar Canister Model 1700S, as well as Simplicity Canister S36S.
