Welcome Ariel, the newest online member to the growing Miele S5 Galaxy series of canister vacuums. Chic and sleek the Miele 5211 Ariel Canister Vacuum Cleaner sports a brilliant Polar Ice White color. This entry level S5 Galaxy model is anything, but cheap. In fact the S5 series of canister vacuum cleaner, is Miele's flagship series of canister vacuums. The Miele Ariel 5211 vacuum is recommended for homes with mostly bare floor surfaces such as tile, hardwood and laminate, but it can also vacuum light scatter or area rugs thanks to the new and improved floor tool included with the Miele S5 Ariel.

The Miele Ariel Also Has A Flip Tool

The SBD285-3, provides a set of retractable stiff, yet gentile nylon bristles that can be extended out when cleaning bare surfaces, a simple foot activated rocker switch will retract these bristles into the attachment so you can vacuum oriental and scatter area rugs with ease.

HEPA Can Be Used

Standard in the Ariel is the Air Clean Filter, not the HEPA filter. Have no fear, this is still a HEPA certified vacuum, it's just the HEPA filter would have to be purchased separately. The S5 HEPA filter is very easy to install and just snaps into place on the Ariel. Do you really need a HEPA filter? If you have asthma or allergies, it's recommended by most allergist to use a Miele HEPA vacuum cleaner (some allergist even write prescriptions for Miele HEPA vacuums). However, the Miele Ariel S5 canister vacuum series without a HEPA filter will still filter better then most other brands of vacuums even with a HEPA filter! The reason for this is Miele uses a completely sealed system. Meaning nothing escapes from the vacuum before the exhaust filter, whether it's the standard Ariel exhaust filter or the upgrade to the AH-50 HEPA filter.
