Hoover's T-Series UH30300 Upright is a bagged upright model, which is recommended highly over a bagless model in homes that have breathing issues such as Asthma or allergies. The bagged system in general captures more dust inside of the vacuum cleaner. The Clean Air Bypass motor design of the T-Series Windtunnel's completely cleans the air flowing through the vacuum first, before the air enters the motor to cool it. After the dirt is picked up from the floor, it's immediately dropped into the Hoover Type Y HEPA Filtration Bag (AH10040), which traps up to 99.97% of all airborne allergens as small as .3 microns.
Only after the air is filtered by the bag does it enter the motor chamber to cool the motor, followed by the air being exhausted through the final filter.
The vacuum easily can switch from carpeting or rugs to bare surface floors by simply stepping on a clutch actuator pedal, stopping the brush bar from spinning when going to bare floors. 1 Year Warranty.
With the new Clean-Drop Bags System, Hoover has the easiest, most sanitary bag change on the market today (see video tab for a video showing how this feature works). Simply press down on the red bag release lever, and slide the old bag out of the door simply, and without receiving a face full of dust which many other uprights cause when replacing the bag. No more fighting with the coardboard collar on the new bag to try and fit it over the tube, simply slide it up into the runway until you hear a click. This is an amazing new feature by Hoover.
Another new feature on the T-Series models is the ability to change the belt, or clean the roller brush without even having to use tools (see video showing this feature).
I was very impressed with this vacuum model when I got a chance to take it home and use it. It had absolutely 0 problem reaching the top of my stairs with it's 8ft extension hose, and the air driver powered hand tool did a fabulous job picking up my 85 lb. Labradoor Retriever's hair on my stairs and upholstery, and unlike most uprights, the Hoover T-Series Windtunnel did a good job on cleaning bare floors as well as carpeting. I have to say that my number one favorite feature on this vacuum has to be the ultra-bright headlight, which can be used to lower the lights, and do some romantic vacuuming!
