The AirTubes are small, portable, affordable and ideal for general-purpose local filtration. As a company philosophy we generally recommend the larger units with more carbon, but for the budget-conscious these are well-built units with carbon that still offer more media than comparable models. The 360-degree air intake, variable speed dial, 4 to 10 lbs of carbon at 1" thick, HEPA for particle filtration, and a pre-filter make this an affordable carry-along option.
The EXEC is ideal for general, dual-purpose applications. It comes with an easy-change pre-filter – absolutely no disassembly required – a much-appreciated feature by our end-users. The units are further equipped with a medical grade HEPA, able to filter out 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns in size, and a deep bed carbon filter. The HEPA and carbon filters can be changed independently - another great AllerAir design advantage. The carbon canisters can also be refilled and reused– a design feature offered in all our AllerAir units.
UV is an excellent option for users who are concerned about mold, bacteria and viruses. We use only non-ozone producing germicidal UV bulbs. The UV light shines at a frequency and energy that breaks organic molecular bonds. As microorganisms pass by the UV rays this bond breakage translates into cellular or genetic damage – preventing replication for microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi etc. Bacteria and viruses are only dangerous to us if they replicate. Preventing them from doing so, as UV does, helps sterilize the air.
