This is the foam pre-motor filter that sits underneath of the dirt cup assembly in a tray that slides out, on the Bissell Healthy Home bagless upright vacuum cleaners. This filter can be washed several times before it needs to be replaced. The filter should be washed every 30 days, and replaced after approximately 6 washings, or every 6 months.
