Specialized Filter Media:
This model has a combination 12 lbs of a high grade Activated Carbon & Impregnated
Alumina. IQAir uses Activated carbon, just as many other companies do. However
IQAir also uses Impregnated Alumina that filters many of the dangerous chemicals that activated carbon alone will not get, such as formaldehyde, which is found in tobacco smoke.
This system also contains IQAir's patented medical-grade HEPA filter which is tested and
certified to filter particulates down to 0.3 microns at 99% efficiency and also ultrafine
particles down to 0.003 microns at a 95% efficiency. The GC MultiGas cleans the air in
a home or apartment up to 900 square feet. All IQAir units are also made with a special
non off gassing ABS plastic and organic food grade filter glue.

High-Efficiency Pre-Filtration
While most air cleaners use pre-filters with particle efficiencies well below 20%, IQAir® systems typically retain over 90% of particle mass in the pre-filter. As a result, IQAir's HEPA and gas phase filter are better protected from premature loading.
Independent Filter Stages
Conventional air cleaners often combine several filter types in one filter cartridge. As a result, the whole cartridge has to be replaced even if only one filter type is used up.
Large Filters

| Customized Gas and Odor Control The GC MultiGas is compact and customized for specific gaseous contaminants and odors. Just like a professional gas mask, IQAir maximizes filter efficiency for different gases and odors by offering the right filter cartridge. And while gas and odor control is a particular strength of these systems, the GC Series also offers excellent filtration efficiency for particles. Gas Cartridge Technology The MultiGas uses four filter cartridges to hold up to 12 lbs. of gas phase media. The cylindrical shape of these cartridges allows for optimum contact between the air and gas phase media, which ensure high removal efficiencies. The large surface area of the cartridges enables high air flow rates. High-Efficiency Particulate Filtration The particulate filtration GC units complements the gaseous filtration process by removing over 97% of particles before they can reach the gas phase media.
