Cleaning Radius
Miele S7 uprights offer an impressive cleaning radius, enabling you to reach every inch of most rooms without the hassle of unplugging and re-plugging the vacuum to clean every area, meaning no more searching for the most convenient outlets to use. The Miele S7280 Jazz cleaning radius is 55 ft.

1200 Watt German Made Vortex Motor
The Miele Vortex motor has a suction rating of 111" of water lift, 26% more powerful then Miele's previous 1100 Watt design. And despite its striking power, this model is astonishingly quiet. The carbon brushes on the Miele Vortex motor are located directly behind the fan, the coolest place on the motor. Because the brushes are running cooler, this dramatically increases the life expectancy of the motor.

HEPA Filtration
The Miele S7280 Jazz model comes packaged from Germany with the advanced active H.E.P.A (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter. This filter not only captures and retains tiny lung-damaging particles, including dust mite feces and pollen, it also contains active charcoal granules to help eliminate odors, especially pet odors. This filter should be replaced every 6-12 months for peak performance.

Variable Speed Motor Control, Rotary Dial
Miele's S7 uprights allow you to control the suction power manually, allowing the user to customize it for different surfaces if preferred and ensuring that none get damaged by the vacuum's awesome power. The Jazz comes standard with a rotary dial that will allow you the option to adjust the suction for whatever surface you want to vacuum. From the lowest suction power to vacuum draperies, to the highest suction for bare floors, the convenient dial even has a digram for recommended surface for each suction.

On-Board Attachments

Rug/Floor Control on Handle
The Miele S7 Uprights have the ability to immediately transfer from Carpets and Rugs at the flip of a switch. To transfer from carpeting to bare surface floor, simply turn the roller brush switch to the off posistion, that's it.

Automatic Height Adjustment
This S7 upright comes standard with a truly automatic height adjustment, ensuring that your carpets are cleaned efficiently and gently without any work on your part. The roller brush in the Miele S7 uprights is spring-loaded to adjust automatically to different heights of carpeting.

Motor Overheat Shut-off Feature
The Miele S7 Series vacuums feature an automatic safety shut off. If an item that can potentially damage the equipment gets picked up, the Miele S7 Series vacuum will turn off. This prevents further damage and overheating of your Miele vacuum.

Belt-Protection Shut-off
The Miele S7 Uprights have an automatic belt shut-off system, that will protect any damage to the machine if something gets stuck in the roller brush. If anything gets vacuumed up into the brushes that gets stuck, such as a sock underneath the bed, or tassles on a rug, the vacuum cleaner will automatically shut the brush motor down, to prevent any damage to the belt, or brush. The Miele S7 belt should never need to be replaced for the life of the vacuum.

Full Bag Indicator
There's no need to check the contents of your vacuum bag; this S7 upright tells you when it's time to replace it automatically, removing any guess work on when to replace the vacuum bag. The indicator will also let you know how full the bag actually is, increasing in color as the bag fills.

Miele HyClean Style U Vacuum Bag
The Miele S7 uprights use the style U vacuum bag. Big and durable to ensure you get the most out of each use, this vacuum model employs a 5.45-quart bag. The new HyClean style of bag by Miele completely packs the bag full, never have to throw away a half empty vacuum bag again. The bag also will automatically seal the dirt closed when the bag is replaced to prevent any face full of dust while changing the bag.

Swivel-Neck For Maximum Maneuverability
This S7 model features Miele's patented SwivelNeck, which allows the vacuum to steer in all directions. Great Vacuum! Does what it says and that is refreshing

Well what can I say, I wanted an upright after being a faithful canister fanatic. As per the norm I did my research and the German technology of the Miele S7280 earned a place in our home. So what makes the S7280 head and shoulder above the rest? I am so glad you asked. Miele has been known for generations as a superior canister vacuum, they took all the good points of their line of canisters and introduced for the first time in 2008 a stellar full size upright. Motor: 1,200-Watt, Vortex Motor. (Vortex does not accept full power moreover it starts slow in 1.5 seconds is up to the selected speed). 4,800 r.p.m. brush roller motor that is operated on a seperate switch. 2-motor system, vacuum and beater bar brush Motor protection indicator and auto shut off in the event of a clog or an entanglement in the beater bar brush. Filter: Active HEPA Filter replaced once a year. Located on the top of the hood with a flip open door and easy removal handle on the filter makes for very easy replacement. NO TOOLS REQUIRED unlike many vacuum that use HEPA filtration Pre-motor Filter is located in the bag compartment and is replaced with each box of bags. A pre-motor Filter is included with each box of bags. Bag: 5.45 quart, Type U, AirClean dustbag, with spring-loaded, self-sealing collar. The bag material is fabric not paper and is electrostatic charged to trap dust. To remove the bag, open the front bag compartment that is hinged. Pull the disposable bag and the lid on the bag will close automatically to prevent dust from flying out. Place a new bag on the bag guide, pull up to lock into place, close the bag compartment door and your ready to go again. Illumination: LED headlight. I love this! It actually lights up the floor unlike many other models. Great for dark corners or under the bed. Power Cord: 39' Love the long cord. On Board Hose: 12' stretch hose is build into the machine. Tools: Crevice tool and upholstery brush and dusting brush. Okay let's take this bad boy for a spin shall we? The dial on the front of the machine indicates the amount of suction from the vacuum motor and is completely independent of the beater bar brush. The S7280 has a very convient carrying handle but like others the machine is a little heavy at 28lbs. However the placement of the handle is good physics and allows for the weight to be distributed so not all that bad. While the body of the machine is plastic the bottom plate is steel as is all the hardware. On the bottom of the machine you will see what appears to be a "squeegee" this is for hard surface cleaning and is amazing on hardwood floors. The on/off switch is located on the front of the handle with a horizontal rocker switch, just below the on/off is the beater bar switch that is a vertical rocker switch. The beater bar brush is not used when using the above floor hose or attachments nor when vacuuming hard surfaces. Settings are: 1. Curtains = Low suction 2. Deep Pile = Medium low suction 3. Low Pile = Medium suction 4. *Smooth = Full Power *Smooth would be for vacuum hard surface and or indoor/outdoor carpeting. The high the number the more noise the vacuum will produce. Even at full power it is still a fairly quiet machine. I have fairly deep pile carpet and the machine is amazing. Leave very attractive carpet lines and does a superb job in one pass. Now the "Swivel Neck" takes a little getting use to. You can drive the machine with your wrist and the front wheels spin 360 degrees to accommodate tight corners and or changing directions without having to physically pick up the machine. The hose is amazing. Once the hose is locked into position the machine will not tip over and will stretch 12' well enough to go up the stairs to the landing. The suction on the hose is flat out impressive! Now the switches are way too close together and I have on many occasions turned off the vacuum when my intention was to turn off the beater bar brush only. That can be rather aggravating to some, as it is to me! Expensive to buy and to maintain. This is a bagged system (I hate bag-less vacuums) the bags are in a box of 4 and come with one motor filter at the cost of 19.00 or so bucks and the Hepa Filter is 50.00 bucks once a year. Positive is a 5 year complete warranty. Overall - very impressive machine cleans VERY well and you will not see a spec of dust fly out of this machine. If you have allergies or live in a dusty area this is a must have. Happy Vacuuming!! Now time to put on some Salsa and take my S7280 for a spin around the living room ----Just for the heck of it.
