1200 Watt German Made Vortex Motor
The Miele Vortex motor has a suction rating of 111" of water lift, 26% more powerful then Miele's previous 1100 Watt design. And despite its striking power, this model is astonishingly quiet. The carbon brushes on the Miele Vortex motor are located directly behind the fan, the coolest place on the motor. Because the brushes are running cooler, this dramatically increases the life expectancy of the motor.
HEPA Filtration
The Miele S7580 Swing model comes packaged from Germany with the advanced active H.E.P.A (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter. This filter not only captures and retains tiny lung-damaging particles, including dust mite feces and pollen, it also contains active charcoal granules to help eliminate odors, especially pet odors. This filter should be replaced every 6-12 months for peak performance, however all S7 models contain an LED indicator when it's time to replace the HEPA Filter.
Electronic Variable Speed Motor Control, with Automatic Setting

Belt-Protection Shut-off

The Miele S7 uprights use the style U vacuum bag. Big and durable to ensure you get the most out of each use, this vacuum model employs a 5.45-quart bag. The new HyClean style of bag by Miele completely packs the bag full, never have to throw away a half empty vacuum bag again. The bag also will automatically seal the dirt closed when the bag is replaced to prevent any face full of dust while changing the bag.
