Lower motor bearings are contained in steel instead of aluminum housings, so the housing will expand at the same rate as the bearing under heat load. This feature prevents replacement of complete housing and dramatically increases bearing life in the motor. For longer lasting motors, these wet/dry vacs feature a 2.5 peak hp motor with a high volume blower port that allows clean dry air to cool the motor and moist or dirty air to bypass it.
