Roomba, the first robotic
vacuum available in the U.S., uses robotic technology to clean your floors and low-to-medium-pile carpets (the
Roomba is not recommended
on high-pile or shag carepts) with minimal effort on your part. Simply Roomba-proof the room you wish to clean (think of
it as pre-rinsing your dishes) by picking up cords, toys, papers, etc., set it in the middle of the room, press a button
and let it go! It even goes under most furniture, to get those otherwise uncleanable hard-to-reach places. Let it go at
those dust-bunnies under your bed, or cat hair under the couch. Even if you store stuff under the bed, the
Roomba will maneuver its
way around, unless it''s extremely tightly packed (in which case you wouldn''t really clean under there anyway). The
Roomba automatically
pauses if picked up, making it safe around kids and pets. It also has cliff sensors that keep it from falling down any
stairs to an untimely death.
