Like the Aller Air 4000 and 5000, the 6000 offers superior air purification but with the extra power of 22 lbs of mass activated carbon filtration for effective air cleaning up to 1800 square feet. The Aller Air 6000 VOCARB has the same features as the 6000 EXEC with the addition of specially blended activated carbon for enhanced elimination of odors, chemicals and volatile organic compounds.
Because of its VOC capabilities, the 6000 Vocarb is perfect for laboratories, hospitals, workshops, and even convenience stores. Anti-microbial, HEPA, and military-strength MAC-B mass activated carbon filter are included.
The industry standard is a coconut shell derived carbon, which is an excellent carbon source for a broad range of chemicals. However, different carbon sources have different properties and thus some are more efficient at removing VOC's from the air. For example, we also have anthracite or coal based carbon, which is better suited to removing VOC's. Other carbons and “impregnations” are available. As soon as you move away from just coconut carbon into other blends, we refer to it as our “VOCARB” blend. Vocarb has a broader based cleaning capacity, or in some cases, even specific VOC adsorbing qualities. So, all of our units start off as EXEC carbon units and ANY of the units we have can become VOCARB by just changing the type of carbon. As a unique additional service we offer a carbon test kit to those who are chemically sensitive.
UV is an excellent option for users who are concerned about mold, bacteria and viruses. We use only non-ozone producing germicidal UV bulbs. The UV light shines at a frequency and energy that breaks organic molecular bonds. As microorganisms pass by the UV rays this bond breakage translates into cellular or genetic damage – preventing replication for microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi etc. Bacteria and viruses are only dangerous to us if they replicate. Preventing them from doing so, as UV does, helps sterilize the air.
