Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier from Blueair
Direct Flow effectively removes pollutants such as microorganisms,
pesticides, heavy metals and toxins. What remains is what you
want – cool, safe and truly pure water.
Direct Flow uniquely combines large
capacity and high efficiency with an
attractive and compact design to fit
all modern homes. And unlike other reverse
osmosis systems, Direct Flow makes
efficient use of inlet water.
The best purification method – reverse
osmosis:
• Direct flow from the main water supply to the faucet
• No bulky water tank with stored water
• Modern and compact design – fits easily under a kitchen sink
• High flow rate: 0.7 US gallons/minute
• Display for safe and easy control
• Continuous monitoring and control of water quality
• Only a single pre-filter for easy and low cost maintenance
• New faucet design with push-button – adjustable in all directions
Remove all impurities in your
water
• Toxins
• Chlorine
• Salt
• Bacteria and viruses
• Heavy metals, fluoride, nitrite
• Salt
Blueair Direct Flow – The heart of the matter
The heart of the Blueair Direct Flow is the ingenious dual function pump. It increases pressure to as much as 145psi and forces water alongside the membrane to clean it. The result is better reduction of impurities, higher flow and a longer membrane life.
Superior flow without storage tank- User friendly
Storage tanks - a hotbed for bacteria used to cover poor performance. Not so in Direct Flow! A high pressure and an up to 7 times larger membrane area, gives you a superior flow of pure water, on demand, even when water is cold and inlet pressure low.
Superior reduction capacity and monitoring system– Safe
The higher the pressure, the better the purification. But safety is also about trust. The built-in safety system continuously monitor purification and stop the flow if a problem is detected.
Superior water efficiency - Environmentally sound
Water is expensive! In Direct Flow it is utilized to perfection. The average efficiency 60% means one gallon of pure water, less than half a gallon to drain. Compare this to conventional 5-10% efficiency - one gallon of pure water, 10-20 gallons to drain.
Superior service life - Minimal maintenance
The unique pumping increase tolerance to hardness and iron. A post carbon filter is not necessary since no microbes or rubber in a storage tank cause foul taste and odour. You only need one prefilter - easily accessed from the front.

(1) Meaning that 60% of inlet water comes out as purified water.
(2) Based on test data, actual reduction will depend on local water chemistry, temperature., and status of the water purifier. These test data should not be transferred to assume reduction of other substances not listed.
Blueair Direct Flow FAQ
Q: Can I install this water purifier myself?
A: Blueair strongly recommends that a professional plumber install the Direct Flow system. All installation guidelines outlined in the user manual must be followed to keep warranty in tact.
Q: Does the installation require a hole in my counter top?
A: Yes. The Direct Flow water faucet will be installed next to your sink. This will require a hole to be drilled from below the sink, to above.
Q: If I don’t like the water purifier can I return it within 30 days?
A: All sales of the Direct Flow system are final. Warranty covers parts and service for one year. Details on the warranty are in the user manual provided with the unit.
Q: Does it have a filter that has to be changed?
A: Yes, the Direct Flow system has a carbon pre-filter that must be changed.
Q: How often do I need to change the filter?
A: The carbon pre-filter serves to protect the membrane in your water purifier. Therefore, it is imperative that proper care is taken to replace the pre-filter in order for your unit to function. The unit will stop if the filter is too dirty, in order to protect the membrane from being damaged. Carbon pre-filters should be changed two to three times per year. Follow instructions in the user manual to change the filter.
Q: How do I know when to change the filter?
A: The filter indicator light on your Direct Flow system will be flashing yellow. A solid yellow light indicates that the system has undergone an emergency stop because filter replacement has not been carried out.
Q: How do I know that the water I am drinking from the system has been purified?
A: When the Direct Flow faucet is turned on, a yellow light will appear for up to 120 seconds. When the light turns blue, purified water is flowing through and is ready for consumption.
Q: What is the capacity of the Direct Flow system. Does it run out of water?
A: The Direct Flow system does not use a storage tank, so it never runs out of water.
Q: What is the warranty?
A: The Direct Flow system is protected for parts and labor for one year.
