Suction Level Indicator

The suction level indicator shows when the paper dustbag needs to be replaced

NOTE:The indicator is ONLY accurate when THE RUG AND FLOOR TOOL IS ATTACHED.

Checking it with other accessories will result in an inaccurate reading

1. Turn "ON" the vacuum cleaner and set the slide switch to "MAX"

2. LIFT the rug and floor tool off of the floor

3. Change the dustbag if the RED marker

COMPLETELY FILLS the indicator window, Whether the bag is full or not

NOTE:Vacuuming up fine dust such as flour ,ash or powder can cause enough of a drop in airflow to warrant a dustbag change. Also,the bag may be bulging with wool or carpet fibers but the airflow may still be high enough to prevent the indicator from registering "FULL".In this case the bag should be changed.

We Recommend that....

If you vacuum a lot of fine dust or sand........................................
..........Change the bag AS SOON AS the RED indicator window is filled

If you vacuum a lot of wool and carpet fibers................................
..........Change the bag when it is PHYSICALLY FULL even if the suction level indicator shows it isn't

Miele Filtering System

The filtering system consists of the following components

Number 1........... Dustbag

Number 2............Dust Compartment Filter(Motor Protection)

Number 3............Exhaust Filter

Each filter must be changed periodically to ensure vacuum efficiency

Replacing The DUST COMPARTMENT FILTER

The dust compartment filter is used to protect the motor from collecting dust, wool and carpet fibers

1. Press the button to release the Dust Compartment

2, Lift Lid

3. Snap open the filter door and replace the filter

4. Snap the filter door shut and close the compartment lid

1.Press and release the button for the EXHAUST FILTER COMPARTMENT at the REAR of the vacuum and REMOVE LID

2.Remove the used filter and replace it with a new one

3. Place the LOCATOR pins on the bottom of the lid into their respective notches and replace the lid

Replacing the HEPA or ACTIVE AIR CLEAN filters

1. Press and release the EXHAUST FILTER button at the REAR of the vacuum and REMOVE Lid

2. Remove the used filter and replace it with a new one

NOTE: It is advisable to write the date of the NEXT filter change on the new filter label

3. Place the LOCATOR pins on the bottom of the lid into their respective notches and replace lid
