Miele Deluxe Comfort Hose Handle
The Miele S4582 Eclipse Galaxy Series canister comes packaged with Miele's deluxe comfort hose. This hose is the most comfortable hose Miele has made yet! Unlike the lower end models, the deluxe hose handle is a much more egronomic handle, that reduces stress to your wrist as you are vacuuming back and forth. The hose connects into the wand underneath of the handle, and also swivels to the left and right for maximum comfort, and ease of use. The handle also has a suction valve, allowing the user to release some of the suction in the hose for cleaning delicated electronics, lampshades, or draperies.
Miele SBB300-3 Parquet Floor Brush
The Miele S4212 Neptune canister comes included with the Miele SBB 300-3 Parquet Floor tool for wood, tile, linoleum, and parquet floors. Miele's new HyClean FJM Style bag is the best filtration bag that Miele has out with yet. The bag offers 9 separate layers of filter material in the bag itself. Miele's 1200W Vortex Motor
Miele's 1200 Watt German made Vortex Motor, is by far one of the quietest vacuum motors on the market. Do not let the lack of noise fool you however, as the Miele Vortex style motor creates 25% more airflow then standard bypass motors. The Miele Vortex motor has a suction rating of 111" of water lift, 26% more powerful then their previous 1100 Watt design. Crush Proof Suction Hose
A lot of vacuum cleaners on the market, both upright and canister use what's called a wire reinforced suction or attachment hose. Throughout the hose is a stiff, un-bendable wire that reinforces the hose's shape. The problem with these hoses are that if they are stepped on, or crushed, the wire inside of the hose will bend, leading to the hose loosing suction power, and ultimately damaging the motor due to lack of airflow. Miele S4 Galaxy Attachments
The Miele S4 Galaxy Series comes standard with three different on-board attachments. These on-board tools are conveniently stored on the extension wand of the vacuum cleaner. Attachments included with the Miele S4 Galaxy series are; crack and crevice tool, natural hair, multi-angle dusting brush, and the upholstery and stair tool that even has lint attractors included. The dusting brush is incredibly well engineered, as the brush will rotate to different angles for different types of cleaning applications. The brush itself is a soft natural horse hair brush that is soft enough that it can be used to dust television screens and other delicate items without fear of scratching them.
Deluxe Variable Speed Motor Control by Step Switch
The Miele S4582 Eclipse has a 6 posistion variable speed motor control on the base of the canister which is controlled by a convenient step switch. This prevents the user from having to bend over to adjust the speeds when changing from bare surface floors to rugs, or carpeting like the lower end models do. All Miele canisters have this feature, but the location of the speed control varies from model to model. This speed control gives you the ability to lower the motors suction for delicate cleaning. The step switch luminates on a diagram for each six settings of what the particular speed is recommended to clean. The six settings are listed from the minimum suction to the maximum suction power: Lowest setting to clean Draperies, Upholstery, Rugs, Economical Carpeting, Low Pile Carpets such as Berber, and Full suction for bare surface floors.
Upgraded Advanced Active HEPA Filtration
The Miele S4582 Eclipse Galaxy model comes packaged from Germany with the advanced active H.E.P.A (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter. This filter not only captures and retains tiny lung-damaging particles, including dust mite feces and pollen, it also contains active charcoal granules to help eliminate odors, especially pet odors. This filter should be replaced every 12-18 months for peak performance of the vacuum. For homes that do NOT have breathing issues or asthma, the less expensive Super Air Clean Filters can also be used in the Miele S4582 Eclipse after the included H.E.P.A. Filter has reached its expiration date.
360 Degree Castor Wheels
All Miele canister vacuum cleaners come equipped with eiter 3 (S4 Series) or 4 (S5 Series) Castor wheels on the bottom of the canister. The larger S5 series has 4 wheels because the chasis of the S5 is larger. Most canister vacuum cleaners will have two large stationary wheels in the back of the machine, and a small spinner wheel in the front of the vacuum. This type of system can cause the canister to tip over if it's pulled from the wrong angle. The Miele wheels however are the best engineered canister wheels on the market! Each wheel spins on it's own independent axis, allowing you to maneuver the canister frontwards, backwards, sideways, or any way you want it to go, without tipping over.
