Click here for all Miele Vacuum Cleaner ModelsRead why Miele Vacuums are exceptionally beneficial in Allergy Relief In 1899,
Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann began the Miele company in a small wooden barn
in the community of Herzebrock, Germany with eleven employees and a promise, "Immer
Besser." This philosophy, meaning "Forever Better," has guided
Miele through more than 100 years of family-ownership and continues to represent
both a duty and challenge for its 15,000 employees today. Since adding vacuum
cleaners to its household appliance range in 1927, Miele has been considered a
leader in the international floor care industry, pressing the technology envelope
ever since its first vacuum cleaner, the "Melior." Notably,
the Melior canister vacuum insulated live electrical components with a molded
material, bakelite (named after its Belgian inventor, Baekeland), which was the
first plastic to be used in the household arena. Miele's use of bakelite positioned
the company as a pioneer in the use of plastics in domestic appliances, providing
the best possible protection against electrical shock with unparalleled noise
reduction.
Today, Miele continues its legacy, manufacturing vacuum cleaners that deliver powerful performance, advanced filtration systems, convenient features and enduring quality within a brilliantly designed framework. Why is airflow important? Airflow determines the ability of a vacuum cleaner to clean. Horsepower, amperage and water lift give no indication of a vacuum cleaner's true ability to effectively clean. On select models, you may adjust the power of the motor by using Miele's convenient
speed controls. They are configured as one of the following: In order to produce a vacuum cleaner that actually performs its primary function
successfully, it must first have adequate airflow to gather dirt and debris.
Unfortunately, not all vacuum cleaners do this. The second part of the equation
is filtration. Most vacuum cleaners lack the design and proper filtration system
required to contain microscopic particles that have escaped through the dustbag
as well as any particles that may be generated by the motor. This post motor
filter design, in conjunction with rubber sealing throughout the system, is
crucial to maintaining clean air. First, and most commonly included in Miele vacuums, is the electrostatically
charged Super Air Clean filter. Next is the Active Air Clean filter. Finally, there is the Active HEPA filter.
